James Allen Parks was born October 25th, 1958 in Orange County, California to Esther Juanita (Renfro) and Jay Scott Parks. He passed away at his home in Sayre, Oklahoma on Friday, October 24th, 2025 at the age of 66 years, 11 months and 29 days.

James, known by most as Jimmy, split his early childhood between Sayre, Oklahoma and Orange County, California. At the age 14, he moved with his family to Sayre, Oklahoma where they made their home. He attended Sayre Public Schools and graduated 1976. After graduation, he found employment with REC (Rural Electric Cooperative) where he was a lineman. After his on the job accident he was moved to an office position where he completed his time with them. Jimmy later went to work for United in Sayre as a butcher. He was later transferred to the Elk City United where he remained until his retirement in 2023. Jimmy's health restricted him from many activities, but he always enjoyed fishing when he felt like it and spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Jimmy is survived by his children, Steven Parks and wife, Kaci, Weatherford, OK, and Justin Parks, Sayre, OK; 4 grandchildren, Rylan, Drayton, Boston, and Barrett Parks; 2 sisters, Julie Jefferson and husband, Curtis, Bethany, OK, Glenda Brasuell, Bethany, OK and a host of other relatives and friends.
