Jimmie Dale Banks, Jr. was born February 5th, 1963 in Tulare, California to Jimmie Dale Banks, Sr. and Bethine (Cox) Banks. He passed away at his home in Sayre, Oklahoma on Monday, October 6th, 2025 at the age of 62 years, 8 months and 1 day.

Jimmie grew up in Visalia, California where he attended Mt. Whitney High School. At the age of 18 he obtained his commercial truck driving license and worked for Jerry Malone driving a show truck. He later began hauling freight over the road and across the country for various companies. Jimmie also operated heavy equipment in road construction before his retirement. After Jimmie formally retired he made his home in Sayre, Oklahoma to be near his sisters. He enjoyed hunting black bear and wild hogs, being in the outdoors and especially the mountains, caring for his dogs over the years, fishing Oklahoma lakes, and spending time with his friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Susan Arnold; and one nephew, Daniel Grammer.

Jimmie is survived by his sister, Carla Grammer, Sayre, OK; brother-in-law, Howard Arnold, Sayre, OK; niece, Tina Kennedy, Burns Flat, OK; 3 great nephews, Dalton Harrellll, Langston Kennedy, and Graysen Kennedy; 2 aunts, Marita and Jeanie and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
