James "Jim" Ray Sanders was born June 27, 1939 to I.V. "Bo" and Maggie Lee (Chism) Sanders in Sentinel, OK. He passed away on July 23, 2024 at his home in Elk City at the age of 85 years and 26 days.

Jim grew up in the Port community and graduated from Port in 1957. In 1958 He married Pat Wilson. Jim worked construction most of his life. He was an excellent blade man. After retirement he and Pat had several Mom and Pop cafes. His favorite entertainment was playing dominoes with his friends.

Jim is survived by his wife Pat of 66 years; son Lyndel and wife Cindy of Sentinel; daughter Lynette of Elk City; four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; brother Carl and sister-in-law Mary Sue Sanders of Yukon, OK, sister-in-law Jane Sanders of Lawton, sister-in law Debbie Wilson of Sentinel, OK, brother-in-law Steve Wilson and wife Brenda of Sentinel; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Bo and Maggie Sanders, father and mother-in-law Mose and Marie Wilson, brother Bob Sanders, three sisters Loraine Sanders, Verna Lee and husband James Perkey, Trannie and husband Vernon Mapp, brother-in-law Keith Wilson.
