Jerry Lenzy Oldham was born May 16th, 1943 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Olef Alline (Pendley) and Albert Lenzy Oldham. He passed away at his home in Elk City, Oklahoma on Saturday, February 17th, 2024 at the age of 80 years, 9 months and 1 day.
Jerry grew up in Lindsay, Oklahoma where he attended school graduating as a part of the class of 1961. After graduation he attended college in Ada for a short period of time and was shortly there after drafted into the Army National Guard. After his discharge, Jerry began his career in the oil and natural gas industry. In 1973, at the age of 30 he, with a couple partners, started Universal Well Logging, Inc. where Jerry continued to own and operate the company until 1986. It was during this time he was married to Jackie Leigh (Degarmo) in Elk City, Oklahoma. They remained in Elk City to make their home and raise their family. In the early 80's they owned and operated J&J Short Stop and also owned and operated American Testers, Inc., Nite Brite Light Towers, and also ATI Light Towers. In 2016, Jerry retired for the final time and continued to enjoy golfing, woodworking, traveling, OU Football, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and his twin sisters, Wynema and Ladema Oldham.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie, of the home; 2 daughters, Stephanie Davis and husband, Scottie, Phoenix, AZ, and Stacy Carrillo and husband, Jason, Greeley, CO; 5 grandchildren, Michael Davis, Daniel Carrillo, Dre Davis, Christine Gunnett, and Tavon Davis; 2 great grandchildren, Aniyah Davis and Mehki Davis; two sister, Deanna Enochs and MaLea Oldham; one brother, Joe David Oldham and a host of other relatives and friends.
