Janetta Dru (Davis) Gibler was born August 15th, 1939 in Dalhart, Texas to Zella Mae (Remling) and Charles Davis. She passed away in Emporia, Kansas on Monday, August 25th, 2025 at the age of 86 years and 10 days.

Janetta grew up and attended school in Hooker, Oklahoma. She remained in the area after her schooling where she began her family. She moved briefly to Hereford, Texas before settling in Dumas, Texas in 1966 where she raised her family. She returned to Hooker, Oklahoma in 1988 where she met DeVon Russell Gibler. They were later married on February 20th, 1989 in Perryton, Texas. Together they made their home in Hooker, Oklahoma until 1990 when DeVon was transfered to the Natural Gas Pipeline Company plant in Sayre, Oklahoma. They made their home in the Elk City community where Janetta was active in the United Methodist Church and the Thrift Store. She also enjoyed spending time with DeVon, other family, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Janetta is survived by her son, Joe Davis and wife, Marcia, Lubbock, TX; 3 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and 1 brother, Kelly Davis, Oklahoma City, OK as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
