JaNelle Sue (Forbau) Sutton was born in Higgins, Texas November 27, 1947 to Eddie and Lena Forbau. She made her entrance into Heaven on Wednesday, October 29th 2025, with her loving husband by her side.

JaNelle was the fifth born of seven children. She grew up in Higgins, TX and attended school there for 12 years. JaNelle was a star athlete playing basketball and softball, and also helped her folks on the family farm raising wheat and cattle.

After graduating High School in 1965, she attended Draughn's Business College in Oklahoma City for a year, learning clerical and secretarial skills.

On March 31, 1967 she married her high school sweetheart Jerry Sutton and they moved to Elk City, Oklahoma where he worked for Shell Oil Co. They lived their whole married life in Elk City, Oklahoma, except for short stays in Shattuck, Oklahoma and Hobbs, New Mexico.

To this union two children were born, Justin Sutton on October 8th 1970, and JaCinda Sutton on November, 9 1976.

JaNelle was reborn a Christian in 1973 at Eastside Baptist Church in Elk City. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Elk City. She loved working in her yard, visiting with friends, helping people, and shopping.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Janice Townsend and Edwadine Forbau, and two brothers Gordon Forbau and Terry Forbau.

She is survived by her husband Jerry of the home, son Justin Sutton and wife Sheila of Elk City, daughter Ja'Cinda King and husband Russell of Elk City. One grandson EJ Greteman, two granddaughters Brooke Sutton and Jolee King, and one Great Grandson Gunner Greteman, one sister, Ladonna Morrow and one brother Darrel Forbau, as well as several nieces, nephews and countless friends.
