Janice Lynn Gillie was born November 25th, 1940 in Athens, TN to Ed and Irene Elliott. She passed away on May 12th, 2023 in Elk City, OK at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 17 days.

Jan grew up in Baldwin Park, CA where she attended school. She met the love of her life, a sailor from North Carolina, named Bill. After dating for two months, Jan and Bill were married on August 2nd, 1958. To this union three children were born.

Along with being a homemaker, Jan decided to pursue a career in cosmetology, where she worked for many years. In 1980 the family moved to Elk City. She went to work at L'Iola's Clothing Store before she retired.

Jan's pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She always loved all the hugs and kisses she received from each of them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son, William, and sister Linda Williams.

Jan is survived by her husband of 64 years, Bill, of the home, two children, Willard Gillie and wife, Gayla, Sayre, OK, Rej'ina Gillie of Stillwater, OK, five grandchildren, Amber, Cory, Nicole, Kenneth and Skyler, seven great grandchildren, Collin, Baylor, Allison, Rowan, Walker, Emerson and Michael, three nieces, Andrea Dishmon, Tonya Martin, Kimberly Stephens and a host of other relatives and friends.
