James Paul Randell was born December 4th, 1946 in Erwin, Tennessee to Myrtle (Kirkbride) and Frank Leon Mayes. He passed away at his home in Elk City, Oklahoma on Wednesday, November 8th, 2023 at the age of 76 years, 11 months and 4 days.

James, as a young child, grew up in Amarillo, Texas where he attended school. At a young age he was married to Janeth Kay (Hawthorne) on August 20th. 1965. Together they moved extensively throughout Texas and Oklahoma following James' employment driving a truck hauling crude oil. He also found employment at an oil refinery at Red Fish Bay, Texas. James enjoyed fishing and working on cars, but his passion in life was spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by parents and one brother, Williard Randell.

James is survived by his wife, Jan, of the home; 2 children, Jimmy Randell, Elk City, OK and Teresa Randell, Elk City, OK; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Wanda James and Shirley Vessel; 1 brother, Mitchell Randell and host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
