James (Jimmy) Dee King was born July 18, 1961 in Long Beach, California to Carole Anne O'Donnell and Donald Gene King. He passed away in El Paso,Texas on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at the age of 62.

Jimmy graduated from Jordan High School in Long Beach, California and attended Long Beach City College graduating as a Registered Nurse. He furthered his degree by attending the University of Pennsylvania, Erie Pennsylvania to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. His career took him throughout New Mexico to Albuquerque, Carlsbad, Clovis and Alamogordo. He also worked in El Paso, Texas. Jim enjoyed fishing and hunting in California, New Mexico and in Oklahoma where he spent many summers with his Grandmother Juanita King of Sayre, Oklahoma and Uncle and Aunt Lloyd and Zella King of Reed Oklahoma.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Danytza King, El Paso, Texas, mother Carole King of Lakewood, California, sister Tracy Bechtold and her husband Kirk, nieces Bailey and Brenna Abeyta and nephew Branden Bechtold. Mother in law Norma Lajon, Aunts Carolyn (King) Berger and husband John Berger and Marilyn (King) Bryan and husband Norman, Liz Martin, Theresa Blanks. Uncle Bert O'Donnell and his wife Elaine, Abdul Wootten and his wife Sandy.

He was preceded in death by his father Donald Gene King of Lakewood, CA; maternal grandparents James and Jessie O'Donnell, Lakewood, CA; paternal grandparents Calvin King, Bellflower, CA; Juanita (Holland) King, Sayre, OK. and Aunt Kay Miller of Long Beach, CA.
