Jack
Sorelle
Dec 26, 1949 — Dec 4, 2025
Roland Raymond Sorelle Jr "Jack" was born December 26th, 1949, in Acushnet, Massachusetts to Marie Helene (Levasseur) and Roland Raymond Sorelle. Jack passed away in Elk City on December 4th, 2025, at the age of 75. He graduated from Coahoma County High School, Clarksdale Mississippi in 1967. Jack earned his associate's degree in electronic technologies from Northwest Mississippi Junior College in 1969. He joined the Marines in 1969 and was honorably discharged in 1971 after the death of his father. The family moved to Merritt Island Florida in 1971 where Jack attended and graduated from Florida Institute of Technology in 1975 with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. After graduation Jack took a job with Schlumberger and eventually ended up in Elk City, OK where he lived until his final days. In Elk City, Jack worked for Schlumberger until 1980, and then Falcon Engineering until 1983 when he left to start his own company, Innovative Technology, Ltd., that same year. He continued to run and grow the company until 2016 when he retired. Along the way, Jack had a full life: he became a licensed pilot, learned to scuba dive, started a vineyard, ranched, and developed several patents. He married Terri Thomas in 1995, and they built a home west of town where they raised a family and had numerous gatherings for friends and family. Jack loved to cook, and his October parties, Thanksgiving gatherings, and New Year's Day eggs benedict brunches were legendary. His wife and son Scott preceded him in passing in 2019. Jack will be deeply miss by all that knew him. He is survived by his daughter Faye, sister Pauline Cotter and husband Tom, brother George Sorelle and wife Gretchen, brother Rich Sorelle and wife Barbara, brother Ray Sorelle and wife Agi, and brother Bob Sorelle and wife Alicia, along with numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.
A memorial service will be held at a date/place that has not yet been determined.
