Howard Leroy Arnold of Sayre, OK passed away at his home on August 16, 2026 at the age of 75 years, 8 months, and 6 days.

Howard was born to Kenneth Arnold, Jr. and Dorothy Arnold (Broughton) on December 10, 1950 in Corcoran, CA and was raised in the Corcoran area, graduating from high school in 1969. He was drafted into the US Army in 1970, serving in Fort Hood until his discharge in 1972. Howard was later married to Susan Banks on August 23, 1975 in Reno, NV; the two made their home in Corcoran, where they began their family. They later moved to Thayer, MO before settling in Sayre, OK in 1982.

Howard's family followed the oil boom as he transported diesel for Simon's Petroleum. He transitioned to over-the-road trucking shortly after his move to Oklahoma, and went on to work for Hodges Trucking for 20 years, where he retired in 2018.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Susan Arnold (Banks); parents Kenneth and Dorothy Arnold; brother, Kenneth Arnold III and wife Betty Arnold; nephews Daniel Grammer and Eugene Arnold, Jr.; niece, Elizabeth Arnold; sister-in-law, Carla Grammer; and brother-in-law Jimmie Banks.

Howard is survived by his daughter, Tina Kennedy of Burns Flat, OK; bonus daughter, Jennifer Glass of Sayre, OK; grandchildren, Dalton Harrell, Katelyn Kennedy, Kade Kennedy, Langston Kennedy, and Graysen Kennedy; brother Eugene Arnold, Sr. of Piedmont, AL; nieces Tanya McGill and LeeAnn Arnold; 4 great nieces; 5 great nephew; and a host of other relatives and friends.
