Harvey Lee Parker was born on September 24, 1934 to Etta Mae Parker in Clinton, OK. He passed on April 17, 2026 in Elk City, OK at the age of 91 years, 6 months, and 24 days. Harvey grew up in western Oklahoma along with his six siblings Haskell, Mary, Jo Anne, Janice, Leon, and Jimmy. On March 20, 1953, at the age of 18, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. He was stationed in Hawaii until his honorable discharge in 1956.
On April 10, 1958, Harvey married Emma Phylena Swaner and to this union five children were born Earl, Jolene, Mike, Cindy, and Ricky. Harvey wore many hats during his lifetime which included, welder assistant and construction. During a construction project in May of 1958, he and two others survived a 110 ft fall in a steel bucket working on a grain elevator in Spearman, TX. He finished his work career in the oilfield working his way up from rough neck to tool pusher. He retired after 20 plus years in the oil industry from H&P Drilling.
Harvey enjoyed collecting guns and trading cars. He was proud of his time serving in the Marines. After the passing of his wife Phylena, he moved to Homestead where he enjoyed visiting with his many friends he made.
He is preceded in death by his wife Phylena Parker, mother Etta Mae Mabry, two brothers Haskell Mabry and Jimmy Mabry, and sister Jo Anne Kinsey.
Harvey is survived by his children Earl Parker and wife Susan of Bartlesville, OK, Jolene Bales and husband Gene of Sayre, OK, Mike Parker and wife Patsy of Weatherford, OK, Cindy Wheatley and husband Barre' of Amarillo, TX, and Ricky Parker of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren Halee (Aaron) Lawrence, Brenna Parker, Kevin (Kristen) Bales, Steven (Erin) Bales, Melissa (Jonathon) Hampton, Kera (Cole) Parker, Carla Parker, Amy (CJ) Stacher, Erin Frescas, Eric (Ashlea) Gilliland, Katelyn (Colt) Hunter, Ryan Parker; great grandchildren Noah, Aniston, Caden, Parker, Hannah, Adalynn, Grant, Ripley, Mikaila, Maddux, Milyah, David, Kaedon, Hadlee, Riley, and Copelyn; brother Leon Mabry; sisters Mary Smart, and Janice Baker; sisters-in-law Kay McManus and Glenna Swaner; many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
