Edwin "Glynn" Stringer was born on September 2, 1951 to Spurgeon and Emma Lou (Henderson) Stringer in Sayre, OK. He passed June 10, 2026 in Cheyenne, OK at the age of 74 years, 9 months, and 8 days.

Glynn grew up in Delhi, OK along with his brother Spurgeon Lynn. He attended Delhi Schools until its closing and graduated from Sayre Public Schools in 1969. After high school, he attended Sayre Junior College for its electrical course. Glynn went on to work as a carpenter for Barlow Construction that built a chain of restaurants across the south. After two years roaming the country, he decided to come back home to farm and ranch with his dad. In April 3, 1985, he married Karen Scott in Wheeler, TX with Jimmie and Judy Ray serving as witnesses. They made their home in Delhi where he continued to farm and ranch until his passing.

Glynn was a lifelong member of the Sayre Church of Christ and always enjoyed helping those who needed him. He was blessed with many friends and family. In his spare time Glynn loved to fish and hunt. In his earlier days he was a proficient trap shooter.

He is preceded in death by his parents Spurgeon and Emma Lou.

Glynn is survived by his wife of the home Karen Stringer; brother Lynn Stringer of Wilmington, NC; nephew Dr. Bradley Stringer and wife Deborah of Boston, MA and their children Sam and Emily; mother-in-law Darlene Scott; sister-in law Janice Stevenson; brothers-in law Robert Scott and Thomas Scott and wife Becky; many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
