Geneva Jo Farris was born November 6th, 1925 in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma to Frances Wix (Strange) and James Otis Wells. She passed away Monday, July 18th, 2022 at her home in Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 96 years, 8 months and 12 days.
Geneva grew up in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma where she attended school. On August 18th, 1942 she was married to John Charles Farris at Cordell, Oklahoma. After their marriage they made Sentinel, Oklahoma their home. Geneva and Jake raised three children on the family farm and continued there until 1997 when they moved to Elk City. Geneva enjoyed attending her grandchildren and great grandchildren's sporting events, playing Bridge, traveling, gardening and spending time with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters, Georgia Locke, and Betty Anderson.
Geneva is survived by her 3 sons, Tip Farris and wife, Lana, Weatherford, OK, Mike Farris, Sentinel, OK and Terry Farris, Sentinel, OK; 5 grandchildren, Brant Farris and wife, Kelly, Edmond, OK, Chad Farris and wife, Laurie, Edmond, OK; Wes Farris and wife, Kristy, Sentinel, OK, Bullit Farris and wife, Holly, Hinton, OK, Amanda Hamblin, Elk City, OK, Blake Farris and wife, Emily, Norman, OK, Tyler Pankratz, Los Angeles, CA, and Bree Farris-Osborn and husband, Jessie, Elk City, OK; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family would like to express their appreciation for the great care that was provided by caretakers and the nurses of Traditions Hospice during Geneva's final days.
