James Gary Craig passed from this life on January 3, 2026 in Elk City, Oklahoma. Gary was born March 1, 1946 and grew up in Trail, Ok. He graduated from Leedey High School and enjoyed playing basketball. He had fond memories of street racing in Leedey with his 1965 GTO.

Gary moved to Elk City and served 8 years in the Army National Guard. His occupations included oilfield consultant, owner of a forklift company, and Oklahoma Department of Transportation.

Gary was proceed in death by his parents James Edgar Craig and Leojeanne (Fegel) Craig.

He is survived by his wife Diane of Elk City, his sister Dixie Mchendry and husband Rockie of Nevada, Tx. His children Shawn Craig and wife Jeana of Elk City, Shannon Bohanon and F.X Buckler of Elk City and Darrin Craig of Strong City, Ok.

Grandchildren Kyle Craig, Chelsea Feller, Brooklyn Bohanon, Oscar Craig, Kailan Craig, Kane Craig, Amber Craig, Ronnie Craig, Kaycee Craig and Kandace Craig.  Gary was deeply loved by his family and will be greatly missed.
