Garry Lynn Jones was born on February 23, 1959 to Leon Shag Jones and Nellie Allen in Elk City, OK. He passed surrounded by family at his home in Sayre, OK on November 1, 2024 at the age 65 years, 8 months, and 9 days.

Garry grew up in Elk City and attended Elk City Public Schools. He graduated with the class of 1978. He attended Western Technology Center and became a licensed diesel mechanic. Garry began his career in the oilfield as a motor hand working his way up to become a company man and consultant. He worked in the oilfield for 41 years before he retired. On August 13, 1988, Garry married Tammie Page.

Garry loved watching OU football. He enjoyed the outdoors which included riding his motorcycle and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents Leon and Nellie Jones, daughter Jennifer Jones, and son Zachary Pipes

Garry is survived by his wife Tammie Jones of Sayre, OK; children Debbie Jones of Borger, TX, Rickey Pipes of Burns Flat, OK, and Vickie Pipes of Los Angeles, CA; 28 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; adopted daughter Judy Pruitt and husband Mack of Sayre, OK; extended family and a host of friends.
