Obituary

Fay Loretta (Green) Robinson was born on May 19, 1935 to Clyde Burl and Mildred Marie (Jencks) Green in El Centro, CA. She passed on March 26, 2026 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 90 years, 10 months, and 7 days.

The family moved to Cheyenne, OK where she grew up with her five siblings Murl, Glenn, Joanna, Deana, and Dixie. Fay graduated in 1953 as valedictorian at Cheyenne HIgh School. On March, 23, 1955, she married Joe Don Robinson in Chickasha, OK and to this union three children were born Joe Jr., Lori, and Terri. Since Joe Sr. was in the Air Force, the family lived in many places. During this time Fay was able to attend Oklahoma College for Women where she obtained her bachelors in 1960. She became a teacher and taught at multiple schools depending on where Joe was stationed, which included schools in Japan and England. Over the course of three summers, she worked on obtaining her masters in math at Southeastern State College in Durant, OK. She earned her masters in 1971 and she continued teaching high school math. In 1981, after Joe retired they moved to Cheyenne, OK and she continued teaching at Sayre, OK until her retirement in 1996.

After retirement, she filled her time with family, grandkids, and her church family. She was a member of the Cheyenne First Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for many years. Her hobbies included sewing, quilting, and gardening.

Fay is preceded in death by her husband Joe Robinson, parents Clyde and Mildred Green, granddaughter Halee Robinson, two brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her children Joe Jr. and Doreen Robinson of Cheyenne, OK, Lori and Richard Andrews of Purcell, OK, and Terri Robinson and John Hyden of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren Jon and Cindy of Hydro, OK, Chad and Jenee of Cheyenne, OK, Sara and Joshua of Purcell, OK, David and Aimee of Purcell, OK; great grandchildren Jake, Ashlyn, Corbin, Shelby, Gracie, Addisyn, Gunner, Aedyn, Teagan, Averi, Anna, Kane, Jett, Colton, Bear, and Kadance; great great grandchild Wesley; sister Deana; many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
