Eula Mae (Strobel) Kilhoffer was born On November 4th, 1929 to Tony and Gertrude (Stamm) Strobel on a farm south of Canute, Oklahoma. She passed away on Friday, December 12th, 2025 in Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 96 years, 1 month and 8 days.
Eula Mae attended Holy Family Catholic school all 12 years graduating in 1947 as the valedictorian . She married her classmate and school sweetheart Robert "Bob" Kilhoffer at St. Francis Catholic Church on February 21, 1950. Together they farmed around Canute from 1950 - 1958 when they moved to town and Bob started working for the Dr. Pepper Bottling Company in Elk City. She was a stay-at-home mom, homemaker, and long time member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking, and baking for her family as well as being well known for decorating cakes for the community. They had 7 children, Dennis and wife, Betty, Fairview, OK. Donald of Yukon, OK Richard and wife Debbie, Carter, OK, Kathy and husband Douglas Schones, Mike and wife Cheryl, Roberta and husband Wayne Kamphaus all of Canute, OK and Laurie and husband Eddie Garcia of Elk City.
They were blessed with 20 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild on the way; 2 sisters-in-law, Loretta Kilhoffer and Sharon Joyce and husband Victor and a host of other relatives and friends.
Eula Mae was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bob; grandson, Anthony Shawn Kilhoffer; parents, Tony and Gertrude Strobel; her 4 brothers, James, Phillip, Raymond, and Leonard; sister, Venita O'Hara; parents-in-law, Tony and Viola Kilhoffer.
