Earl moved with his family at the age of 3 to Knoxville, Tennessee. He spent time in the United States Navy serving in Vietnam. Earl went to school with and lived next to Eugenia Idol. They fell in love and were married on December 26th, 1970 and to this union 3 children were born: Melissa, Derrick, and then Brandon after they moved to Oklahoma in 1980. Earl was employed with the railroad construction in Tennessee and worked on oil rigs after moving to Oklahoma for several years. He also worked for Cudd Pressure Control in 1992 for 11 years before starting Hoskins Wireline service company in 2003 and continued until 2019. From the time he was a young boy till about 2020 he was an avid fisherman slipping away not caring if he would be in trouble with his mom or Gennie. He could NEVER get enough fishing and could always out-fish most younger men. Earl loved his fishing friends over the years and loved bass fishing in local and FLW Costa tournaments. He never tired of it and if not fishing then talking fishing for hours with anyone that also loved bass fishing.

He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1984, and changed his life forever. Earl loved his church and helping others. He loved going to Falls Creek Youth Camp 3 years cooking with his wife for the youth that he loved and spoiled with lots of fruit, coffee, creamers, and anything else that they mentioned they needed.
