Donna Kay Pitts was born May 25, 1960 in Erick, Oklahoma to Ruby Berneal (Odom) and Alvie Joe Reed. She passed away at her home in Burns Flat, Oklahoma on Tuesday, September 1st, 2026 at the age of 66 years, 3 months and 7 days.

Donna grew up in Elk City, Oklahoma and attended school at Merritt. She later attended Western Technology Center in Burns Flat where she obtained her certificate in graphic design. At the age of 18, Donna began her family with her marriage to Wally Rios. Shortly after their marriage, they welcomed their daughter, Amanda, to the family. They continued to make their home in Elk City, Oklahoma where Donna was a stay-at-home mother adding their son, Jeff to the family. In the early 1990's, after their marriage dissolved, she was later married to Gary Don Pitts in 1992. They moved throughout Western Oklahoma and the Texas panhandle farming until finally settling in Elk City and the Burns Flat area. After Gary's death in 2021 she remained in Burns Flat and enjoyed fishing, arts and crafts, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends. Donna always had a soft spot in her heart for any animal that might've been in need and couldn't pass up the opportunity to take them in and care for them.

She is preceded in death by her parents; the father of her children, Wally; and husband, Gary Pitts.

Donna is survived by her children, Amanda Thompson and wife, Carla, Spring, TX, and Jeff Rios and wife, January, Craig, CO; 2 grandchildren, Caleb Thompson and Nickoli Rios; 3 bonus grandchildren, Beverly Zulian, Terrapin Zulain, and Ford Ray; 3 bonus great grandchildren, Edwin, Viviana, and Octavia; 2 sisters, Cindy Copeland, Venus, TX and Karen Bardwell, Yukon, OK as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
