Earl Don Parker was born January 11th, 1953, in Elk City, Oklahoma, to Dona Leona (Smith) and William Earl Parker. He passed away in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on Sunday, January 12th, 2025, at the age of 72 years and 1 day.

Don grew up in Elk City, where he attended school. In March of 1992, he married his beloved wife, Carolyn. He began his career in the early 1970s in the oil and natural gas industry, working for a total of 18 years before leaving due to injury in 1989. Later, he retrained and earned an associate degree as an electrical technician. Don was employed by Diebold Incorporated as a banking system secure systems technician. While in this role, he was injured on the job and was forced into retirement in 1998.

After retiring, Don moved to Elk City and Burns Flat before settling in Ponca City, Oklahoma, where he made his home and enjoyed his retirement years. He found joy in fishing, camping, playing cards, gardening, and baking pies for the holidays.

Don is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Carolyn; one daughter, Tosha Anderson; three brothers, Dale, Carl, and Buster Parker; his special brothers Dwight Leatherman & JD Ray, one sister, Betty Lou Appleton; and his grandson, Mason.

Don is survived by his three children: Dee Hall, Earl Don Parker, Jr., and Brian Cummings; three granddaughters who became daughters (Kassandra "Pippy" Anderson, Madison "Mattie" Anderson, and Makenzie "Kenzie Dawn" Anderson); 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren, who were the light of his life in his later years. He is also survived by two sisters, Sue Leatherman and Lovesta Ray, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
