On April 27th, 2026, our mother, nana, and mamaw left this earth. Delilah Kay Turner was born 09/15/1961 to Almous Leroy Harris and Florene Jean Harris. She grew up in the Texas Panhandle before marrying her first husband Lee Barton and settling in Booker, Texas. After becoming a widow she married Danny Robert Turner October 16th, 1981. During her marriage she was a homemaker caring for her three children. She lived in New Mexico, Texas, and Arkansas before finally settling back in Booker, Texas in 1989. In 2000 she moved to Higgins, Texas where she currently resides. During the past 26 years she went from a homemaker, to the well known Beer Lady. She worked for Perks Convenience Store for several years. She loved to watch reruns of all her favorite shows, and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter Haylie, who she was more of a mother figure to than grandmother. She always had an open door for any of the kids in town that needed a place. She was always there when you needed her.
She is preceded in death by her first husband Lee Barton, her father and mother Leroy and Florene Harris, and her mother and father in law Nancy and Richard Foshee.
She is survived by her ex husband of 31 years Danny Turner of Elk City, Ok. Her son Brandon Turner and Tracey Coots of the home in Higgins, Texas. Her son Joshua Turner and Faith Estrada of Pampa, Texas. Her daughter Leslie and Cleatus Shawn of Elk City, OK. Her grandchildren Haylie and Kellie of the home in Higgins, Texas, Vickie of Cheyenne, OK, Miranda, Elijah, Estrella, and Katriena of Pampa, Texas. Alexis, Jacob, Amelia, Parker, Kotton, and Dannielle of Elk City, OK. Hannah and Alan of Virginia. Great grandchildren Dawson, Carson, Blue, Silas, Zyla, Xena, Ella-Kay, Eloise, Jaxon, and Mariposa of Pampa, Texas. Jeremy and Aubrey of Elk City, OK, and baby Leroy who she was anxiously waiting to meet. A sister, Teresa and Matt Diedrich of Illinois; a sister, Ramona Harris of Booker, Texas; a brother, Adam and Sandy Harris of Dimmit, and a brother, Michael Wright of Wisconsin. Along with several nieces and nephews.
