Deborah Carol Olmstead was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Wanda Jean (Crow) Henry. She passed away at her home in Elk City, Oklahoma on Tuesday, December 6th, 2022 at the age of 70 years, 3 months and 4 days.
Deborah, known by most as Debbie, grew up in Ft. Supply, Oklahoma were she attended school graduating in 1970. After graduation, she enrolled at Draughon Business College in Amarillo, Texas where she obtained her associates degree.
Debbie met the love of her life, Howard Oliver Olmstead, and they were married on November 3, 1972. They lived in Ft. Supply before moving to Woodward, Oklahoma where they made their home and raised their family. In 1987, they moved to Elk City following Howard's employment. Together they briefly moved to Ottawa, Kansas and Houston, Texas before returning to Elk City in 2009. Debbie continued to work at the Elk City Nursing Home until June of 2022. She enjoyed reading, watching baseball, cooking for family, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother; 2 brothers, Daniel Chumley, and Mark Chumley.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Howard, of the home; 1 daughter, Kimberly Tew, and husband, Kevin, Elk City, OK; 2 grandchildren, Brett and Corbin Lovelady; 2 brothers, Billy Henry and wife, Vicky, and Michael Henry and wife, Kim; and their father K.R. Henry; special friend, Betty Elliott and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
