David Scott Louis was born July 8th, 1967 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Virginia Lee (Cowell) and Clifford Wayne Louis. He passed away in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Wednesday, September 6th, 2023 at the age of 56 years, 1 month and 29 days.

David moved with his family from Claremore to Catoosa, Oklahoma and then to Elk City in 1977. He attended Elk City Public Schools and later found employment with Foley's Inc. He was married to Kimberly Ann Cooper. After their marriage they moved to Tulsa to be closer to David's father and then briefly resided in Missouri where David spent some time serving as a volunteer fire fighter. They returned to Elk City, Oklahoma in 2006 where David was employed with C&C Auto Salvage where he was employed until current. He enjoyed hunting, anything associated with cars, fishing in his younger years, and spending time with his family and friends. David was also a long time flagman for Elk City Speedway.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Arvil and Nora Cowell and Mary Ruth Cox; paternal grandparents, Roy and Adelia Rushing; father, Clifford Wayne Louis; brother, Jeffrey Louis.

David is survived by his 5 children, David Cooper, Joshua Louis and wife, Tamaron, Roseland Cooper and fiance', Jessie Acuna, Carissa Cooper, and Michael Louis, all of Elk City, OK; 11 grandchildren; his mother, Virginia Lee Ortiz, Elk CIty, OK; the mother of his children, Kim Louis, Elk City, OK; brother, Christopher Louis and wife, Becki, Dover, AR; sister, Bettina Jackson husband, Shelby, Elk City, OK; Bettina's children, Jacoby and Abagale and a host of other relatives and friends.
