Erma "Darlene" Harmon was born on February 22, 1948 to Oscar Calvin and Erma Leola (Harrison) Hamon in Pampa, Texas. She passed on September 27th, 2024 in Elk City, OK at the age of 76 years, 7 months, and 5 days.

Growing up Darlene lived in the Texas panhandle and Oregon. In the eight grade, she moved to Reydon, OK where she eventually met and married her high school sweet heart Bill Harmon. Darlene graduated from Reydon High Schools in 1966. Darlene married Bill on May 26, 1966 in Wheeler, TX and to this union two children were born Jimmy and Julie. After Bill was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army, Darlene and Bill lived all over the Texas Panhandle as Bill worked as a ranch hand for various ranches. They finally settled in Cheyenne, OK. Darlene worked as a secretary for Cheyenne Schools and Black Kettle Service Company. Later on she also served as a waitress at the B and H Restaurant.

Darlene was an avid reader and was a Louis L'Amour fan. She liked to spend her time outdoors fishing and gardening. Darlene loved growing roses. She also like to put together puzzles. Darlene spent as much time as she could with her grandchildren.

Darlene is preceded in death by her husband Bill Harmon, parents Oscar and Erma Hamon.

She is survived by her son Jimmy Harmon and wife Joele of Edmond, OK and their children Daxon and Jaren Harmon both Edmond, OK; daughter Julie Harmon of Elk City, OK and her children Kaylen and wife Mattie of Woodward, OK and Jaylee Harmon of Elk City,OK; great grandchildren Traydon Harmon and Calvin Harmon; step great granddaughter AttiLae Boeck two sisters Vicki Carey of Canute, OK and Diane Riley of Pooleville, OK; many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
