Darla Lee Gilliland was born on October 28th, 1952 to Betty Jo McIntyre and Step-Father Melvin Gene McIntyre in Clinton, Oklahoma. She passed on October 30th, 2026 at the age of 74.
Darla grew up and attended school in Bethany, Oklahoma along with her brothers John, Jimmy, and Teddy. She moved to Elk City in 1977 and started her banking career in 1980. She worked at multiple banks across Oklahoma starting as a teller and making her way up to an auditor. She retired from McCormick and Associates after many years of working there. She had two daughters, Mandy Fullgrabe and Tricia Gail.Darla’s hobbies were photography, sewing, collecting Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls, watching Wheel of Fortune, Survivor, and studying genealogy. She spent her life loving her children, and spoiling grandchildren and great grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her mother Betty Jo McIntyre, Step-Father Melvin Gene McIntyre, and brother John Gilliland.She is survived by her children: Mandy Fullgrabe & husband Thomas Fullgrabe, and Tricia Gail, grandchildren: Ashton & Chris Reeves, Korie & Bo Slife, Bobby & Jaidyn Whittemire, Katlyn & Nash Streater, Jayme Whittemire, Karl Fullgrabe and Kayla Whittemire, great-grandchildren: Brantley, Audrey, Blaire, Memphis, Berkley, Isla, Bennett, Lextyn, and Kortlyn. Lastly, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
