Dan Henry Reid, Jr. was born July 2nd, 1957 in Montebello, California to Rose Gayle (Mullican) and Dan Henry Reid, Sr. He passed away at his home in Sayre, Oklahoma on Wednesday, February 25th, 2026 at the age of 68 years, 7 months and 23 days.

Dan grew up in Brea, California where he attended school. During his senior year in high school he entered the United States Marines and served during the VietNam era. After his discharge from the United States Marines, he began civilian life and a career in residential construction contracting. He was also over the maintenance of several different companies maintaining their machinery. He moved to Reno, Nevada where he continued his construction career. Dan later reenlisted in the United States Army where he served stateside until his second discharge. He ended up in Bakersfield, California before moving to Harrison, Tennessee. After the loss of his spouse, being a part of a grief support group, began a relationship with Stacie Carter. Their relationship grew and evolved and they eventually were married June 19, 2012 at Elk City, Oklahoma. They made their home in Oklahoma, Missouri, and Georgia before finding their way back to western Oklahoma where they resided in Sayre, Oklahoma. Together he and Stacie enjoyed going on drives, camping, listening to Alan Jackson gospel music, wood working and spending time with family and friends. In later years, Danny enjoyed teaching his nephews Maddox how to do carpentry work and Maddox helped Danny with multiple projects around the house. Danny loved when his daughter, Kimberly, her husband Dennis and Grands (Krysia, Kyle, and Kendall) would come visit to spend quality family time.

He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 wives, Karla Chudy and Sharon Kay and one son, Kyle Reid.

Dan is survived by his wife, Stacie, of the home; 7 children, Jeremy Reid and wife, Rachelle, Kimberly Sauer and husband, Dennis, Dena Reid, CaSandra Mclain and husband, Josh, Danielle Reid Hough, Christal Reid, and Holly Reid; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Deanna Reid Gentry and husband, Danny Gentry and Debbie West and husband Richard and a host of other relatives and friends.

Danny enjoyed spending time with Jonni and Curtis Patrick and Kirby and Shonda Carter, they were his brother and sister-in-law, but he considered them as his siblings.
