Corena Faye Pope Andrews, 90, entered her eternal rest on January 1, 2026, at Mangum Skilled Nursing and Therapy in Mangum, Oklahoma, surrounded by the love and presence of her family. Born on January 11, 1935, in Delhi, Oklahoma, Corena was the youngest of twelve children born to Benjamin Franklyn (B.F.) Pope and Bertha E. (Hall) Pope.

At around the age of twelve, Corena made the most important decision of her life—to follow Christ. That commitment shaped every step she took and every life she touched. A 1955 graduate of Delhi High School, she carried her faith into nearly sixty years of ministry, serving faithfully in the Oklahoma Assemblies of God, Pentecostal Holiness, Hillside Holiness Church, and Rose Assembly Inc. She was a devoted member of Rose Assembly Church in Mangum, Oklahoma.

Corena married J.E. Andrews in October 1957, and they shared nearly ten years of marriage until his passing in January 1967. In 1979, she married Rev. Walker Andrews, and together they helped establish Hillside Holiness Church, a ministry that became a meaningful part of their shared calling. They remained devoted partners in life until his death in 1999.

Throughout her life, Corena made her home in Delhi, Sayre, Moore, Marietta, Snyder, and Mangum, Oklahoma and briefly in Arkansas. Wherever she lived, she brought warmth, prayer, and a pastor's heart. She was known for her love of puzzles and quilting, her deep devotion to studying Scripture, her passion for reading, and her constant prayers for her family, friends, and church community.

Corena is survived by her daughter, Teresa, and husband Gary Usher of Snyder, Oklahoma; her son, Donnie, and wife Karri Andrews of Moore, Oklahoma; and her grandchildren: G.L. and Felicia Usher and their sons Samuel and Emmanuel of Springfield, Virginia; Colene and husband Robert Babcock and their sons Maxx and Mitchell of Frederick, Oklahoma; Kym and husband David Russo and their sons Tristen and Carsen of Moore, Oklahoma; Kahley and husband Ryan Gilbert and their sons David and Lane of Moore, Oklahoma; Emily Andrews of Guthrie, Oklahoma; Cheyenne, and husband Jose Guiterrez and their children Elena and Tony of Guthrie, Oklahoma; Michael Deagel of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Jonathan Deagle of Moore, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, each touched by her steady love and prayerful presence. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Brian Newell Usher.

Corena's legacy is one of faithfulness—faithfulness to God, to her calling, and to the people she loved. Her life was a testimony of perseverance, grace, and the quiet strength of a woman who walked closely with the Lord.

Her life reflected the love described in 1 Corinthians 13 — patient, kind, humble, forgiving, rejoicing in truth, and steadfast in hope. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (NIV) describe her best: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.
