Chaston Robert Lane Adams was born on October 25, 2007, in Elk City, Oklahoma, to Lisa Marie Nunez and Samuel Adams and passed away on August 23, 2025, in Elk City.

From an early age, Chasten was an energetic fireball full of imagination and wonder for the world. Although he often rambunctiously embodied all things "boy," loving motorcycles, go carts and fishing, Chaston was also a kind and tender caregiver for all those he loved. His instinct to take care of his loved ones started almost immediately in life for Chaston and stayed with him until the very end. It was a trademark characteristic for the charming young man. As a toddler, he would insist that his little sister had a bottle before he did — often taking his own and lobbing it into her crib as she slept. His Aunt Jessica recounts Chaston bringing her a heating pad to her chair to assist with her aching back when he was just a little boy. After he received his first paycheck at 15, the first big purchase he wanted to make was taking his entire family out to eat. Just days before he died, he demonstrated his dedication to service to others when he dropped his girlfriend, Kylie, off at work. She realized she hadn't had a Red Bull, so Chaston immediately brought her one.

As a child, he enjoyed baseball and wrestling. However, as he entered his teenage years, he became devoted to his job at Hutch's, which has now transitioned into Circle K. Having a strong work ethic and saving for the future was important to Chaston. Between that, his friends, and school, he was a busy young man. Chaston took the initiative to complete summer school and was scheduled to graduate from Elk City High School this upcoming May with the ECHS Class of 2026.

Chastons future plans were to enlist in the National Guard and attend college to pursue a future career in radiology. Chaston discovered the benefits of the military while attending the Oklahoma National Guard's youth academy, the Thunderbird. He loved the structure of the Guard and the idea of giving back to the community and his country. Chaston will be forever known for his big and giving heart, his upbeat sense of humor and his loyalty to those he loved. He started each day with gusto and was excited to pursue a successful future.

He is preceded in death by his great grandfather, Everett Lavon Gray; great grandmothers, Jewellette Huddleston, Phyllis Kay Putman; great great grandmother, Jewel Payne.

Chaston is survived by his mother, Lisa Marie Nunez; his father, Samuel Adams; 5 siblings, Samara Adams, Blake Adams, Dominic Adams, Addison Watts, and Casten Watts; grandparents, GayLynn Nunez, and Robert Nunez; aunts and uncles, Jessica Mangiantini and husband, Chris, Robby Nunez and wife, Leticia, Ashley Nunez, Tracy and Shane Davis; cousins, Austin, Caden, Brody, Lily, Mason, Conner, Jordan, Santana, Devon, David, and Rylee; special friends, Bobby Thomas, Cash Thomas, and Countri Thomas; girlfriend, Kylie Jade; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
