Charles "Junior" Franklin McDaniel was born October 23rd, 1958 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Shirley Ann (Hutton) and Charles Franklin McDaniel, Sr. He passed away at Bell Avenue Nursing Home in Elk City on June 24th, 2023 at the age of 64 years, 8 months and 1 day.

Charles, being disabled, lived in homes in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, Hensley's Nursing Home in Sayre, and with his mother in Erick, Oklahoma before making his home at Bell Avenue Nursing Home in Elk City, Oklahoma. It was during his time at Bell Avenue his love for the staff grew and especially Trudy, who would bring him Dr. Pepper and Twinkies. He also enjoyed listening to music, watching cartoons on television, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents, Imogene Barnhart and Barney Barnhart.

Charles is survived by his sister, Carla McDaniel-Dickey, Elk City, OK; brother, Lloyd Crosby, Elk City, OK; 2 nephews, David Potter and T.J. Potter; 1 niece Sarah Crosby and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 27th, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Sayre Doxey Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Chris Whinery and the staff of Affordable Cremation Service-West. Condolences can be made online at www.classicfunerals.com
