Charles Phil Campbell was born May 4th, 1938 in Berlin, Oklahoma to Myrtle Virginia (Seals) and John William Campbell. He passed away Friday, January 6th, 2023 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years, 8 months and 2 days.

Charles, known by most as "Charlie", grew up in the Berlin community where he attended school graduating in 1956. After graduation he began his own farming operation and continued to date a woman by the name of Anna Mae Johnson. On January 11th, 1958 they were married and began their family. They briefly began married life in Berlin before moving to Delhi, Oklahoma for four years, Sayre, Oklahoma for 12 years, and back to Berlin, Oklahoma to make their home. Charlie helped build and managed the Beckham County Gin west of Sayre from the late 1960's until 1982. In 1978 Charlie and Anna Mae moved back to the farm in the Berlin community where they continued to make their home. Charlie was never one to shy away from hard work and there was never a doubt that he wouldn't do anything possible to provide for his family. In what little spare time he had he enjoyed fishing, hunting, welding, painting later in life, and spending time with his family and especially his 3 granddaughters and 5 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and one granddaughter, Mallory (Campbell) Henson.

Charlie is survived by his wife of nearly 65 years, Anna Mae, of the home; 2 children, Carrie Campbell Brown and husband, Kent and Carl Don Campbell and wife, Susie, all of Sayre, OK; 2 grandchildren, Elizabeth Harmony and husband, Nathan, and Carla Pearson and husband, Clayton; grandson-in-law, Jeremy Henson, Sweetwater, OK; 5 great grandchildren, Alyson, Kaylee, Colter, Callie, and Cody; sister, Vicki Brown, Orange, TX and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 10th, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Trinity Fellowship officiated by Andy Taylor. Burial will follow at Berlin Cemetery under the direction of Chris Whinery and the staff of Affordable Cremation Service-West. Condolences can be made online at www.classicfunerals.com
