Obituary

Chad Everett Snowden was born October 7th, 1969, to Ransom and Retta (Everett) Snowden in Shamrock, Texas. He passed away at his home in Erick, Oklahoma on Friday, January 20th, 2023 at the age of 53 years, 3 months and 13 days.

Chad lived many years on the family farm built by his great grandparents. He attended Erick schools kindergarten through 12th grade and graduated in 1987. During school he was active in sports and FFA and he loved to hunt and fish. His senior year he was voted Best All Around by his peers which shows the kind of person he was all of his life.

He married Angela Lively in 2001. He gained a son, Joseph Lane and together had Grace Michelle and Brodie Everett Snowden. And while the marriage didn't last, Chad always felt his greatest accomplishments were his children. He was very talented in many things and could build a house from the ground up. He was also a very talented singer, playing the guitar and piano. He always did his best at any job he did. Chad was a Godly man, being saved at an early age, and began every day praying, reading and studying his Bible. He loved getting together with his family and really enjoyed fishing at the Martin place and also letting others enjoy the fishing as well.

Chad always served others in the community and retired from the Erick Fire Department after 20 years. He could do anything and WOULD do anything for anyone that asked and some that didn't ask.

He is preceded in death by grandparents, George Everett, Mildred Gilchriest, Everett Isham, Bob Isham, Alvin Snowden, and Margie Berry Snowden.

Chad is survived by his 3 children Lane Snowden, Nacogdoches, TX, Grace Snowden, Nacogdoches, TX, and Brodie Snowden, Erick, OK; his parents, Ransom and Retta Snowden, Erick, OK; siblings, Leah Barker and husband, Mike, Weatherford, OK, Stacey Davis and husband, Davey, Erick, OK, and Tyler Snowden and wife, Tara, Sentinel, OK; nieces and nephews, Kaley, Bailey, Ryley, Avery, Jett, Gunner, and Ace and a host of other extended family and friends.
