Carol Lee "Walker" Bustin, age 83, was born February 18, 1942, at the hospital in Clinton, Oklahoma to Clarence L. "Chick" Walker and Alma Jewel "Johnston" Walker. She was their only child and her daddy Chick was always aggravated that her birth certificate stated she was born at "The Western Oklahoma Charity Hospital. He said he didn't remember ever getting any charity on the bill he had to pay."

Carol attended school at Butler Public Schools, graduating as Co-Valedictorian in 1960. When she was 16 years old, she met the "love of her life", Marvis Clinton Bustin, a young, handsome airman from Clinton-Sherman Air Force Base. They were married April 24, 1959, at the home of her parents when she was 17 years old and still a junior in high school. After her graduation, they moved to Elk City where Marvis was employed at Eddie Mahl Construction Company. To this union, two (2) children were born, son Robert Clinton "Robbie" Bustin January 14, 1963, and daughter Robyn Renee "Bustin" House May 19, 1964. The rest of their life was spent happily raising their family in Elk City. They loved their family very much and never missed an opportunity to entertain their grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, friends, and church family with Fourth of July Fish Frys, Holiday & Birthday Celebrations and Summer Cookouts.

After Carol graduated High School, she was employed by Elk City Dentist, Dr. Donald A. Ballew, and the Department of Human Services in Sayre for a short time before she went to work for Farmers National Bank/Bank of Western Oklahoma, in Elk City where she was employed for 29 years. The last 13 years of her career were with Great Plains National Bank, Sayre and Elk City, as their Vice President/Home Mortgage Officer, where she retired in 2007.

Carol was a long-time member of the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, in Elk City. She played the organ for 55 years and just retired this past July. She also served many years as a Trustee of the Church. She also served as Chairman of the Board, President of Disciple Women, member of the Women's Group, along with various other positions. She was also very active in the Elk City Chamber of Commerce during her working years, and she and Marvis spent many years as Docents at the Old Town Museum. Carol and Marvis loved to travel, visiting all 50 states and several trips abroad.

Carol is survived by daughter Robyn "Bustin" House and husband Mark, of Mustang, her daughter-in-law Sharon Bustin, who was like a daughter to her, of Elk City; Grandchildren Brandi Canon and husband Billy, Blake Bustin and wife Janessa, all of Elk City, Derek House and wife Karis of Yukon, and Rachel "House" Smith and husband Tyler of McLoud; 13 great-grandchildren Rylee Yeager, Brodey Yeager, Will Canon and Wyatt Canon; Brynlee Bustin, Bentley Bustin, Brantley Bustin, and Brylee Bustin all of Elk City, Everton House, Ettson House, and Emberlyn House of Yukon; and Sterling Smith and Sawyer Smith of McLoud.

She was preceded in death by her parents C. L. "Chick" and Alma Walker, her son Robbie Bustin on July 6, 2013, her husband Marvis on January 13, 2016, and her dear friends Leroy & Carole Bruce, John Walker, and Jewel Wolfe.
