Carla Dale Grammer was born October 17th, 1957 in Tulare, California to Bethine (Cox) and Jimmie Dale Banks. She passed away at her home in Sayre, Oklahoma on Monday, June 22nd, 2026 at the age of 68 years, 3 months and 25 days.

Carla grew up in Visalia, California where she attended school graduating from Mt. Whitney High School in 1975. Not long after graduating from high school, Carla welcomed her most precious gift, her son Daniel (Danny), on February 26th, 1976. Over the years, Carla continued to reside in Southern California, working in food and service management. The career opportunity that Carla enjoyed the most was having the opportunity to exercise Thoroughbred race horses. In the early 2000's, Carla met her life partner, Jack King. Together, they moved to Lucerne Valley, California. In 2005, Carla and Jack moved to Sayre, Oklahoma, to be closer to her son and sister. She enjoyed gardening, working in her yard, finding good deals at yard sales, collecting affordable antiques, spending valuable time with her dogs, and being around family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Daniel Grammer; life partner, Jack King; sister, Susan Arnold; and brother Jimmie Banks.

Carla is survived by her niece, Tina Kennedy, Burns Flat, OK; brother-in-law, Howard Arnold, Sayre, OK; 3 great nephews, Dalton Harrell, Langston Kennedy, and Graysen Kennedy; 2 aunts, Marietta Gray and Norma Jean Cox; close friend, Carol Cox; fur baby, Gabby, and a host of other relatives and friends.
