Candena April Thompson was born September 12th, 1980 in Clinton, Oklahoma to Teresa Marie (Schenewolf) and Steven Patrick Thompson. She passed away at her home in Elk City, Oklahoma on Tuesday, January 30th, 2024 at the age of 43 years, 4 months and 18 days.

Candena, known by most as "Candi", grew up in Clinton, Oklahoma before moving to Hammon, Oklahoma where she attended school. At the age of 16 she moved to Indiahoma, Oklahoma where she attended Job Corps where she received trade training. She was married to T.J. Thomas and together they welcomed a son and a daughter. She returned to Clinton, Oklahoma in the early 2000's where she was a stay at home mother. Candi worked several years providing in-home healthcare and being a caregiver. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father; both sets of grandparents; uncle, Dwaine Schenewolf; and one cousin, Samuel Schenewolf.

Candi is survived by her 2 children, Brandon Thomas, Taft, OK, and Kaitlyn Thomas, Clinton, OK; her mother, Teresa Page and husband, Tony, Hammon, OK; 3 brothers, Chris Thompson, Luke Thompson, and Landon Thompson and a host of other relatives and friends.
