Brandon Layne Gunter was born on October 19, 1984 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Layne and Ronate Gunter.  He passed away on April 21, 2024 at the age of 39 years, 6 months, and two days.

Brandon was raised in Canute, Oklahoma. He loved many activities with his dad including fishing, projects in the shop and working on the farm. He also enjoyed playing basketball, watching sports, and especially spending time with family and friends. He survived traumatic injuries due to a motor vehicle collision at the age of 16, however, went on to graduate with his class of 2003 at Canute High School where he was prom king. After high school Brandon worked in the oil field for many years.

Brandon is preceded in death by his grandparents O.F. and Emma Jean Gunter, Juanita Jones and Ray Mulkey. His aunt Dyanne Thompson, uncles Neal Mulkey and Lynn Gunter. Cousins Allen Piercy and Teresa Wilhelm.

He is survived by his parents Layne and Ronate Gunter of Canute, one sister Kyndra Zamora and a neice Emma Zamora both of Yukon, aunts Debra Gunter and Pat Schult, uncles Joe Thompson and Don Mulkey along with a host of family and friends.

Private family services will be held.
