Bobby Dale Cannon was born August 17th, 1935 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Nena Gertrude (Lucas) and Johnny Amos Cannon. He passed away on Friday, June 6th, 2025 in Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 89 years, 9 months and 20 days.

Bobby, known by his family as "Bob", grew up in the Crawford community attending school in Crawford and Durham. He graduated from Durham High School in 1953. During his senior years he was married to his high school sweetheart, Anita Joyce (McClellan) in Crawford, Oklahoma. Together they made their home in the "bend of the river" while he completed his senior years of high school and began their family with the birth of their son, Jerry.

After graduation, Bob began working for the Chevrolet Garage until they moved to Sayre, Oklahoma where Bob found employment with Anthony's "Dry Goods" store. Bob and Anita returned to Roll, Oklahoma to help on the family farm. In 1954, their family became larger with the birth of their first daughter, Vicky and a year later found themselves in Pampa, Texas. It was here that Bob worked for Celenese and the family grew again and became complete with the birth of their second daughter, Melda.

The late 1957's saw the family on the move once again when Bob obtained employment in Phillips, Texas in 1957. Together they continued to live and grow their family in Phillips until returning to Roger Mills County in the early 1960's. Bob started a propane gas business in rented properties until establishing the company and purchasing his own property.

As their kids grew through their school years, Bob and Anita continued, with their strong work ethic, to provide for their family. It was through this hard work that they purchased land 8 miles north of Crawford, Oklahoma and have lived to see their kids, grandkids, and even great grandchildren enjoy the fruits of their labors. Bob and Anita always placed their faith and trust in the Lord and were members of the Cheyenne First Baptist Church. Bob also enjoyed golfing, fishing, coyote hunting, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded by his parents and one sister, Betty Watson.

Bob is survived by his wife, Anita, of the home; 3 children, Jerry Cannon and wife, Laurie, Elk City, OK, Vicky Smith and husband, Randy, Elk City, OK, and Melda Ueland and husband, Dan, Cheyenne, OK; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
