Bobby Lynn Moss was born in the family home at Reed, Oklahoma on December 13, 1937. He was the youngest of nine children born to Claude and Mamie Moss. Times were hard and life was difficult. Most families in western Oklahoma lived by the depression code of survival: use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without. Life became much more difficult when Bob was only three years old; his father died after an extended illness.

Six years later tragedy struck again. Bob's appendix ruptured. This was a condition that rarely survived. Fortunately, the congressman from that district, Victor Wickersham, knew of an experimental drug called penicillin which was in trials in Washington. Mr. Wickersham flew home with the life saving medication. Therefore, Bob became the first person in Oklahoma to receive penicillin. At nine years old he weighed 37 pounds and had to learn to walk all over again.

In high school Bob was very active in sports. He played baseball, football, and basketball. He majored in Business Administration. While still in college he married Linda Allen and had three girls, Misti, Micah, and Mandi. During this time Bob was the mill manager for Supreme Feeders. Bob and Linda were married for sixteen years before divorcing in 1975.

Three years later, Bob and Donna Anderson met after not seeing each other for almost twenty years. They dated for a while and married after about a year. The blended family became four boys and four girls, better known as eight is enough. Bob worked for Donna's dad, Walter Merrick, and Donna managed The Stables Steak House which they later bought. After about five years they moved out to Cheyenne on the ranch. After about ten years they opened a store in Cheyenne, it was here that Bob developed his unique artistic talent. His handmade lamps and decor pieces have been sent all over the United States and several foreign countries.

With eight children, twenty-three grandchildren, and thirty-two great grandchildren. Bob loved his family, sports, and catching up with his family's lives on Facebook. He looked forward to coffee with his friends and eating lunch at the Senior Citizens Center.

Celebration of life services will be held Monday, December 18th, 2023 at 10:30 AM at the Cheyenne First Baptist Church officiated by Andy Taylor.
