Blankarosa Lea Benkie was born February 1st, 1976 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Connie Ruth (Blankenship) and Robert Lee Beck. She passed away at her home in Bethany, Oklahoma on Wednesday, November 30th, 2022 at the age of 46 years, 9 months and 29 days.
Blankarosa, as a young child, moved with her mom to Hammon in 1978 where she gained an adopted father, Charles Wayne Grabeal. In 1982 she began school in Elk City, Oklahoma where she eventually graduated in 1994. It was during her time in school she was chosen as the southwest district outstanding percussion player in the high school division. After graduation she remained in the Elk City area and found employment with OSU Extension in Beckham County. She later continued on and worked with Diversified Services. She began her family in 1995 with the birth of her son, Lakota Cade Reyes. On August 9th, 1997 Blankarosa married the love of her life, Andre Donald Benkie in Elk City. Together they made their home here and added to their family with the birth of Taylor Montana Benkie in 1998 and focused their life around church, sports, and their 2 boys. After Andre passed away on April 28th, 2018, Blankarosa focused on her family and especially her grandchildren. She was known as "Tighty Whitey" for her love of cleaning and making sure her family's houses were clean as well. Blankarosa was also a member of First Baptist Church and was baptized as a young child.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Andre; grandparents, Calvin and Johnnie Ruth Blankenship, Richard and JoAnn Beck, and Joseph and Mildred Grabeal; several aunts, a nephew, and a cousin.
Blankarosa is survived by her 2 sons, Lakota Reyes, Elk City, OK, and Taylor Benkie and wife, Kaylee, Elk City, OK; 6 grandchildren, Noah Reyes, Gracie Reyes, Marley Reyes, Raylie Carter, and Koltyn Benkie; her parents, Connie and Don Clements, Robert Beck, and Charles Grabeal; 2 sisters, Codie Forester and her sons, Christopher, Ryan, Micheal and C.J. Clements and husband, Blaze Friday and son, Kamron; 1 step-sister, Michelle Looker and husband, John and their children, Tabitha and Dalton; 2 step-brothers, Jonathan Clements and wife, Stephanie and their children and Josh Clements and wife, Sarah and their children; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
