William (Bill) David Callahan, Jr. was born in Delhi, Oklahoma, November 14th, 1932 to William (Willie) David and Cora (Barnes) Callahan. He passed away Saturday, January 14th, 2023 in Sayre, Oklahoma at his home surrounded by family at the age of 90 years and 2 months.

Bill grew up in Hobart, Oklahoma and attended school there. Bill was involved in boxing where he won "The Golden Gloves" award. He enjoyed roping, riding horses, and working with cattle. Bill always had a job, he started working at the young age of 10 years old. He was raised in the Church of Christ where he was saved at an early age.

Bill married Freda Lajaryl Stroud on December 9, 1950 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They had two children, Ronnie Bill and Jackie Dale. They lived and farmed most of their lives in the Hext community and loved to travel.

He is preceded in death by wife Lajaryl, his son, Ronnie Bill Callahan, his parents, brothers, and sisters.

Bill is survived by his son, Jackie Dale Callahan, and fiance`, Stephanie Owen of Sayre, Oklahoma; 2 grandchildren, Brandi Hibler and Chris Venegas of Sayre, Oklahoma, and Shawn Callahan, Sayre Oklahoma; 4 great grandsons, and 3 great great granddaughters and a host of many dear friends, relatives, and neighbors.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Delhi Cemetery at 2:00 PM officiated by Eric Easter and Andy Taylor. Arrangements are under the direction of Chris Whinery and the staff of Affordable Cremation Service-West. Condolences can be made online at www.classicfunerals.com
