Betty Lou Loomis was born April 5th, 1950 in Shamrock, Texas to Viola (Ratliff) and Lonnie Albert Penny. She passed away Monday, April 3rd, 2023 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years, 11 months and 29 days.

Betty grew up in Erick, Oklahoma where she attended school. She was employed at the Erick Retirement Center as a nurses aide. Betty made the transition as a home health aide where she continued to help the elderly for many years along with providing childcare in Ninnekah, Oklahoma. After years of being on her feet she became disabled in the early 2000's and focused primarily on her family and especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed talking on the phone, reading, collecting carousel figurines and music boxes.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Helen Cagle; 3 brothers, Wayne, Nelson, and Elmer Penny and a daughter in law, Gina Loomis.

Betty is survived by her son, Ricky Loomis and wife, Angie, Sayre, OK; 2 grandchildren, Chelsea James and husband, Chris, Erick, OK and Justin Loomis, Erick, OK; 5 great grandchildren, Nicholas, Elijah, Asher, Elena, and Archie; 1 sister, Linda Cooksey and husband, David; brother, Richard Penny, Amarillo, TX and a host of other relatives and friends that knew her as "MawMaw Betty".

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 11th at 2:00 PM at Erick Cemetery officiated by Brother Charlie Floyd. Arrangements are under the direction of Chris Whinery and the staff of Affordable Cremation Service-West. Condolences can be made online at www.classicfunerals.com
