Betty Benavidez (Kelley) passed away in Jones, OK on July 13, 2026 at the age of 72 years, 1 month, and 19 days. She was born to William and Joyce Kelley in Martinez, California on May 24, 1954. The family moved to Oklahoma in 1968, settling in Erick. That year Betty met Raul Benavidez and the two were married April 6, 1970 in Wheeler, TX. From this union they had 5 children, Sandy, Donna, Raul Jr., Melinda, and Aren.

Betty was a homemaker and her greatest joy in life was caring for her family. She enjoyed cooking, shopping garage sales, going to the casino, and watching soap operas in her free time. Betty was a fan of carne asada tacos and was always on the hunt for the best.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raul Benavidez Sr.; grandson Justin Benavidez; and granddaughter, Royalty Benavidez.

Betty is survived by her children, Melinda McConnell and husband Tommy, Sandy Low, Donna Spears and husband Jeff, Raul Benavidez Jr., and Aren Benavidez and wife Abby; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; her dog, Ammo; and many extended relatives and friends.
