Beth Ham was born April 10th, 1952 in Shamrock, Texas to Lena May (Ackley) and Rudolph Leon Sanderson. She passed away at her home south of Elk City, Oklahoma at the at the age of 70 years, 3 months and 2 days.
Beth grew up in Shamrock, Texas where she attended school. She participated on the basketball team before her graduation in 1970. Beth met Ronald Dean Ham on a blind date and bloodied his nose because he tried to "get fresh" with her. On the same blind date
Beth knew he was the one she wanted to marry because he stood outside the restroom in the pouring rain keeping guard to make sure no one bothered or hurt them. Beth and Ron were later married on June 7th, 1973 in Wellington, Texas. They made their home in Elk City, Oklahoma where they raised their family. She found employment with Hylton's Flowers and remained there for the better part of 30 years seeing the flower shop through 4 different ownerships. Throughout the years, Beth took pride in her work and enjoyed helping countless families through the good times, the bad times, and interacting with them. She also enjoyed going to casino, working in her yard, caring for her cat, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and best friend, Ramona Burleson.
She is survived by her children, Dean Ham, Elk City, OK and Christy Ham, Elk City, OK; 8 grandchildren, Trevor, Bre, Austin, Michael, Ashley, Emma, Mason, and Matthew; 3 great grandchildren Declan, Elaina and Rynlee; 1 brother, Gary Sanderson and wife, Jackie; 1 sister, Janette Rainey and husband, Winston and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 19th, 2022 at 2:30 PM at the Fairlawn Chapel officiated by Michael Larson.
