Obituary

Bennie Lee Dye was born on October 12, 1960 in Clinton, OK to Orval Lee and Billie Jean (Hutton) Dye. He passed on August 14, 2024 at his home in Sayre, OK at the age of 63 years, 10 months, and 2 days.

Bennie grew up in Clinton and Duncan Oklahoma. Bennie started working at the sale barn in Sayre and also helping Junior Plummer on the farm. He started operating a back hoe business with Dean and Donald Shelton. Bennie also worked in the oil field for several years. Bennie started working for Joe Post as a roustabout.

In his spare time, Bennie enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and playing pool. He enjoyed watching his favorite football team Oklahoma Sooners on the T.V. Bennie was known for his homemade beans and made sure that Papas famous beans were made every Sunday no matter what was happening. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Bennie is preceded in death by his parents Orval and Billie Jean Dye, brothers Larry Plaster and Billy Dye, and sister Kathy Dye.

He is survived by his two daughters Jennifer Plummer and husband Jay of Sayre, OK, and their children Noe, Draden, Tanner, Kolter, Mattie, Jaylee Audrey, Layla, and Ady, and Casey Dye,of Sayre, OK and her children Katelyn and Gage; great grandchildren Addison, Noah, Everleigh; special friend Vickie Dye; two sisters Linda Wing of Sayre, OK and Karen Kidd of Sayre, OK; two aunts Darlene Odom and Laquita Carthel; many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
