Becky Terese Tucker was born on December 13, 1955 to James Leo Barton and Lula Beatrice (Edwards) Axtell in Hobart, OK. She passed on May 29, 2025 at the age of 69 years, 5 months, and 16 days.
Becky grew up in Weatherford, OK and attended Weatherford Public Schools. After high school, she briefly attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University before enrolling in cosmetology school. She owned and operated her own beauty salon in Oklahoma City, OK. In 1972, Becky married Harold Franklin Overstreet and to this union Jason was born. She married Larry Woods in 1985 and to this union Josh, Jennifer, and Julie were born. In 2002, Becky moved to Elk City and started her own Health Food Store, Back to Basics. She married Windle Tucker in 2003 in Elk City. Becky ran her health food store for over 15 years before retiring. In her retirement she began running a U-haul business until Windle's health declined. Becky then became a full time caretaker of her husband until his passing in 2021.
In her spare time, Becky enjoyed cooking. She was known for her faith and love of the Lord and could always be found reading her Bible. She was known for her researching skills and ability to find the knowledge she needed. She was known for her healthcare knowledge and loved helping people with their health. Becky was a caring person and looked after her family and helped take care of her father Bart when he needed it. Becky loved the farm life being outdoors, taking care of the animals. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Becky was a great debater as long as she was always right. She was also a very passionate person in many aspects. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family and her great humor will be missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband Windle Tucker, parents Bart and Lula Axtell, brother Chris Axtell, and sister Tammy Axtell.
Becky is survived by her children Jason Overstreet of Fort Worth, TX, Josh Woods and wife Marsheila of Elk City, OK, Jennifer Parker and husband Donnie of Elk City, OK, and Julie Woods of Elk City, OK; grandchildren Charity, Kathryn, Landon, Zac, Jade, Colin, Allie, and Audrey; brother Jamie Axtell and wife Marcella of Eakly, OK; many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Dempsey Cemetery.
