Barbara
Page
May 9, 1950 — Jun 24, 2024
Barbara Ann (Wells) Page was born on May 9, 1950 in Elk City, OK to Bill and Luella Wells. She passed away peacefully on June 24, 2024 at the age of 74 following a long battle with lung disease.
Barbara grew up in Elk City where she graduated high school. She attended OSU for a semester before moving back to SWOSU to finish her degree and be closer to the love of her life, Gary. Barbara and Gary were married on December 5, 1969 where they made their home together in Elk City. She spent her 40-year professional career in the accounting business working for various oilfield and accounting firms. Barbara had many talents as a seamstress and arts & crafts enthusiast but her true passion was gardening. She was well known as the go-to person for any advice on selection and care of flowers. She loved working in the yard and could spend hours studying flowers in a nursery. She loved to wear "fancy" clothes and always made sure her kids were the best dressed at any event. Much like her flowers, she was proud of her kids and grandkids and enjoyed watching them grow over the years.
She is preceded in death by her parents and loving husband, Gary.
Cherishing her memory are her two children, Gina Merz and husband Casey of Canute and Coby Page and wife Nikole of Chandler, AZ; 5 grandchildren, Dakota and Allison Shepherd and Halle, Weston and Nathan Page; one sister, Judy Fox and husband Dan of Oklahoma City; sister-in-laws Terry Kauk and husband Mike of Leedey and Pauletta Cloud and husband Jerry of Elk City as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
