Ann Elizabeth Oden was born May 13th, 1949 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Marie Elizabeth (Adams) and Theodore Joseph Duerr. She passed away peacefully in her home in Talogo, Oklahoma at the age of 73.

Ann, known by many as "Annie", grew up in Canute, Oklahoma where she attended school. Annie met and married Mike R. Oden, Sr. and they were blessed with the birth of her 3 precious children, Michael, Shonda, and James. After her many travels to multiple locations across the United States she settled down in Taloga, Oklahoma where she owned and operated Taloga Motel for 20 years. It was at the motel that she made numerous friends and acquaintances. Annie loved making crafts and had an eye for repurposing old things and bringing them to life. She helped so many that crossed her path, always thinking of others. Going out of her way or even giving the last of what she had, so others could benefit.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mike Jackson, and 3 infant siblings.

Annie is survived by her 3 children, Mike Oden, II, and wife, Shelly, Shonda Thrash and husband, Justin Hyde, and James Oden; 5 grandchildren, Brianna and husband, Kevin Mitchell, Brooklyn and husband, Mark Murdaugh, Elizabeth and husband, Joseph Mikolyski, Logan, and Annemarie; 8 great grandchildren; 9 siblings, Ted, Larry, Joe, Mike, James, Tommy, Mary, Danny, and John and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, September 6th, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Old Canute United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Chris Whinery and the staff of Affordable Cremation Service-West. Condolences can be made online at www.classicfunerals.com
