Anna Lois McCown was born August 31st, 1939 in Dougherty, Oklahoma to Geneva (Cole) and Roy James Lucas. She passed away at Corn Heritage Village in Corn, Oklahoma on Saturday, September 2nd, 2023 at the age of 84 years and 2 days.

Anna, known by most as "Ann", grew up in Carnegie where she attended school. After leaving school, she began working in the restaurant industry and was married to Henry Earl McCown in 1964. They made their home in Canute where she found employment at the cafe' in Canute and also in the cafeteria at Canute Schools. Ann eventually owned and operated Ann's Pizza and Subs and also Ann and Earl's Recreation before her retirement. Ann never knew a stranger. She would sit on the front porch every Halloween and hand out candy to every kid. She loved seeing all the kids dressed up in their costumes. Ann always enjoyed going to the casino, talking with friends, working, and spending as much time as possible with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Earl Dean McCown and Jimmy Lucas; and granddaughter, Kylee McCown. Also preceding her is death are two brothers; James Lucas and Ray Lucas, and four sisters; Bobbie Alverson, June Tohee, Kathy Walters and Gail Lucas.

Ann is survived by her two children, Rita Redford, Elk City, OK and Mark McCown and wife, Vanessa, Corn, OK; eleven grandchildren, Timmy, KJ, Jenna, Morgan, Makrae, Sofia, Jacie, Matt, Cody, Marco, and Anna; six great grandchildren, Maelyn, Dillon, Taya, Brian, Bradley and Nathanael along with a host of other relatives and friends.
