Steven Eugene Winslow was born April 21, 1961 in Alton, Illinois to Clarence and Tallie Winslow. He passed away in Cordell, Oklahoma on Friday, August 7th, 2026 at the age of 65 years, 3 months and 17 days.

Steven, known by most simply as "Animal", grew up in Illinois and moved to Elk City, Oklahoma in his late teen years. Shortly after moving to Elk City he obtained employment in the Oil and Natural Gas industry. He met and was later married to Connie Di Juan (McDowell) on June 12, 1986 in Wheeler, Texas. Together they raised their family in the Elk City community and Animal remained in the oil industry until his health forced his retirement. On his days off and in his retirement, Animal enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping at Foss Lake, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Connie; and one son, Reydon.

Animal is survived by his 2 children, Carlos Myers, Sayre, OK and Stevanna Winslow, Lakeville, MA; 5 grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Emily, Madison, Gracie, and Chayse; 2 great grandchildren, Wrenlee and Hattie; 4 siblings, Kathy, Greg, Mike, and Janice; dear friend, Carl Ramsey and wife, Jennifer as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
