Adam Franklin Pettitt was born September 8th, 1987 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Sheila Grace (Jantz) and Milliard William Pettitt. He passed away Sunday, May 8th, 2022 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 34 years and 8 months. Adam grew up in Elk City and attended school at Merritt Schools. From the time he could work a shovel he was a part of the family business, Pettitt Septic Tank Services. Adam graduated in 2006 and continued with the family company. He was married in 2009 and became a father to Jaxon. A year later he was blessed with the birth of JoviLin. Adam later met Erica Dawn (Wendt) and they were married May 3rd, 2017 in Wellington, Texas. Adam added to his family with the birth of Adilynn Grace in 2016. Adam and Erica made their home in Elk City where they raised their family including Alissa, Angela, Kotten, Kaydence, Payzlee, and Jolly. Throughout his life he attended the 1st Assembly of God and later The Link and was always very much a presence in any room that he was in. Adam was very much a family man and enjoyed nothing more than making memories with his family at the farm or the sale barn. He also once said, "He had only lived half a life until he met Erica, whom he considered to be his soulmate." It was in love that they fought together to keep the family whole. He is preceded in death by his father; sister, Shauna Moran and his aunt, Dorlene Pryor. He is survived by his wife, Erica, of the home; 8 children, Jaxon, JoviLin, Kotten, Kaydence, Payzlee, Adilynn, Jolly, and Angela; his mother, Sheila Pettitt, Elk City, OK; 2 sisters, Becky Stamm, Elk City, OK, and Debbie Boswell, Cheyenne, OK; one brother, Milliard Pettitt, II, Elk City, OK; niece and nephew, Coalton Paxton and Cameron Moran, both of Elk City, OK and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
